The meetup 2009 is scheduled 24-26/04/2009 @ Birmingham
It is open to everyone, not just clan or community members!



There is nothing planned yet apart from the date, location and ofc heavy drinking!

You can already start shouting if you want to come, people will be added to a list. More stuff to follow, watch this space!

PS: we changed the location to make the whole thing more popular. Please consider coming, we had a great time in the past! Smile

possible hotels
    etap Dont have a bar at all - but do offer cans of beer and soft drinks and small bottles of wine with room service. parking £3 per 24 hours limited spaces. May offer group booking discount

    Menzies (former Thistle Edgbaston/hagley road) Our bar is not open all night but we do have 24 hour lounge and room service with a limited choice of drinks.

    the other thistle Queensway Bar shuts at 11pm but has 24 hour room service

    Copthorne Dont specify a closing time as such, group booking discount is £76 for single occupancy and £83 for double per night

Hmmm - Etap for £76 for 2 nights or £67 for just the one hmmmm think I would be staying at the Etap one!

The other thing to consider as well is that if we do a group booking that we may get a discount for it

Thistle on Hagley Road may have changed but there is still the Thistle on Queensway ( http://www.thistle.com/hotels/birmingham/ ) which is closer to the town centre than the other one and that has rooms at a reasonable price - although still not as good as the Etap
